Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa baraktuhu,

Ramadan mubarak.

We would like to wish you all a blessed and beneficial month of Ramadan. May Allah Most High grant us His forgiveness and mercy during these auspicious days.

This year theIF supported another student seeking sacred knowledge in Syria. This means that since its launch in late 2007, theIF has supported 3 students of traditional knowledge who will, Allah willing, bring great benefit to the Muslim community in the future.

With your generosity this Ramadan we can continue and build on this most vital work. Many of us will have received emails about preparing for Ramadan or listened to and watched online lectures and khutbahs about the blessed month, but how many of us are actually able to sit with scholars learned in the traditional sciences, taking knowledge from them as they took knowledge from their teachers, going back to the Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him)?

The need for qualified scholars continues to be the most pressing issue facing the Muslim community in the UK today. This Ramadan, help theIF to work towards alleviating this need.

Progress update

Assalamu Alaykum,

We wanted to briefly update you on some of the progress that has been made recently and also ask for your assistance:

1) Emel article and Radio Ramadhan
2) Leaflet distribution
3) FB promotion

1) We've recently been interviewed by the team at Emel, the Muslim lifestyle magazine. Look out for us in the September 08 issue! This Ramadhan will also be a very busy time for us Insha'Allah. During the blessed month, we'll be up and down the country at a Radio Ramadhan station near you!

2) As part of our continued growth, we have designed and printed leaflets. If you would like to distribute these in your local community centre, mosque, work-place prayer room etc, please get in touch either via our FB account or our email (info@theinheritorsfund.com) with your name and delivery address and we'll post those out to you ASAP (UK only).

3) We've almost hit 500 on our Facebook group Alhamdulillah. We earnestly thank everyone that has helped us get this far but we exhort you to be incessant in this good work and continue to invite your friends.

4) theIF requires representatives in all areas of the UK. If you are enthusiastic, innovative and require a challenge, we need you! As part of our team, you will be given the chance to play a part in new projects and initiatives and be a pillar of support for students of knowledge.

Scholarships update

Assalamu alaykum,

The Inheritors' Fund is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its first round of student applications. The fund has selected two outstanding candidates who fulfil the stringent acceptance criteria for each scholarship. We feel these individuals will go on to become highly knowledgeable and gifted scholars Insha'Allah.

We thank all applicants who applied for a scholarship and those who have generously donated, and who continue to donate to the fund. We pray to Allah Most High to grant us patience, success and the ability to continue to support students of knowledge.
